Tired of existential angst and staring out of dusty windows? JOYING is a new jazz band that is dedicated to playing original jazz that swings, energises and spreads the good word. After simply one dream too many about grooving rhythm sections from the 60's, our fretted protagonist decided enough is enough and began writing simple tunes with a catchy melodic vernacular held together with a deep love of swing and bebop. Led by guitarist/composer Matthew Roche, conceptually the band traverse endless quagmires of the soul and are fed by his dry and irreverent commentary of the songs.
